• 1-3 years of experience in a programming or development role

BS / BA Computer Science or Information Systems degree preferred; Business, Finance or Accounting degree would be considered as would equivalent experience.

Equivalent backgrounds would include: SQL Programmer, Database Developer, Software Developer

We are looking for a hands-on technical person to support various University constituents. Ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relational databases and solid programming skills.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience using common programming languages like .net , C++
• Experience using SQL and a solid understanding of relational databases.
• Knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of software development best practices.
• Ability to quickly learn new technical skills including Datatel’s Colleague application and tools.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent testing and debugging skills.
• Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure from multiple competing deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
